Gardner has in fact done much more, maintaining the structural characteristics of the fundamental popsongs, arranged for the collectively tested instrumental and vocal opportunities of Opera Lab and thereby transforming them into the format of miniature operas. (…) The use of popsongs as source material guarantees a global understanding of the expressed cultural references, but also supports the educational as well as the entertainment aspect of the overall product.
